Abstract, Floral, Landscape Artist
Art is my way of connecting with the beauty and complexity of the world around me. Inspired by the landscapes, I encounter during my time outdoors, I aim to capture the essence and atmosphere of these natural scenes in my paintings. Each brushstroke reflecting the awe and serenity I feel in nature, and my goal is to evoke that same sense of wonder in the viewer.
Although, I came to art later in life while my children were at school, it has since become an essential part of who I am. My journey began with studying pastel under a talented local artist, and I later expanded my practice to include charcoal and acrylic painting through self-study.
These experiences have allowed me to blend technique with intuition, creating works that feel authentic and deeply personal.
I'm fascinated with color-its ability to evoke emotion, create depth and transform a scene into something timeless. This fascination extends into my abstract work, where I explore the interplay of color, form, and texture to convey feelings and ideas that words cannot express. My abstracts often evolve intuitively, blending layers of vibrant hues, bold strokes, and intricate details to create compositions that invite the viewer to interpret and connect on a personal level.
Whether I'm capturing the serenity of a landscape, the essence of a figure, or the raw energy of an abstract piece, my art is a constant exploration of creativity and expression. I continue to embrace new ideas and forms, inspired by the limitless possibilities of color and imagination.
