I want my art to be as obvious as if I had stolen your thoughts.

I was born in Livorno, Italy in 1962, received a classical education, and left early — searching for something I couldn’t name. That search took me from Italy to England to Atlanta, and eventually to New York City, where I earned a Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Hunter College and conducted research at NYU. The laboratory sharpened what curiosity had already built: a way of seeing through systems, perception, and hidden structures. But art kept surfacing. A sabbatical, a camera, and a chance encounter with a former student who put paint in my hands changed everything.
I trained at the International Center of Photography and the New York Academy of Art, and have exhibited internationally at the XI Florence Biennale, the Hamptons Fine Art Fair, the Clio Art Fair, and the Onishi Gallery. I work from Short Hills, New Jersey. My work is informed by the existentialist tradition and by a persistent concern with what is being lost.
