This mirror explores the space between functional object and wall sculpture, using handmade kiln-formed glass to transform a familiar architectural element into something considerably more expressive.
A composition of glass tiles forms the perimeter of the mirror. The tiles alternate in proportion and color, creating a continuous rhythm around the reflective surface. Their dimensionality, softened edges, and subtle variations in transparency and movement allow the border to interact with light throughout the day.
The glass is not commercially produced tile. Each element is kiln-formed by hand in the Sand & Iron studio, resulting in individual variations in color, texture, translucency, and surface character. These variations become part of the visual language of the finished piece.
The design is intentionally restrained in its geometry while allowing the material itself to provide movement and depth. The result is a contemporary mirror that functions as much as a composed piece of material art as it does a reflective surface.
For residential, hospitality, and commercial interiors, the mirror offers a distinctive way to introduce saturated color and handcrafted material into a space without sacrificing a clean, architectural sensibility.

Care and Cleaning
-Do not spray cleaners directly onto mirror surface. Spray onto soft cloth first, then wipe mirror clean.
-Never use cleaners that contain ammonia or other harsh chemicals near the edge of a mirror.
-For dried-on surface grime, use a single-sided razor blade to gently scrape off.
