In the Autumn Light is a photo collage. The artwork began as a photograph of a field of wildflowers and weeds on a misty morning. I usually won't start working on my images immediately after shooting and with Autumn Light, a year passed before I started playing with this photo. Much of my work evolves through experimentation, and I experimented with multiple versions before getting the look I wanted. I over-saturated the image's color and then painted over the photograph in places to highlight the image's background. What started as a photograph of weeds in Autumn metamorphosized into a colorful explosion of color and design.
