About This Creator
"Handmade porcelain tableware, designed in Sofia with an architect's eye."
Pottery & Poetry is a design studio in Sofia, Bulgaria, founded by architect Maria Baleva, M.Arch. Fifteen years of architectural practice shape how she designs for the table: proportion, colour and the way a piece is used every day. A team of eight shapes and glazes every plate, bowl and cup by hand in our studio, so no two pieces are exactly alike. Our collections include Color, Bauhaus, Sgraffito and Calassi wine vessels. The Bauhaus collection is on show at Artipelag, Stockholm, as part of the exhibition Inner Child until April 2027.
