During the shelter-in-place mandates of 2020, Renee began to hone in the overall vision of Mojave Art, with a clear focus on supporting women designers and artists. She is currently expanding her own practice to incorporate surface design, and has begun research and development for a custom mural and wallpaper collection for Mojave Art.
Renee is a member of the Female Design Council, which is an organization dedicated to providing a strong professional community for women in the design industry.

"I’m very research or theme driven, so I have to journal about, sketch, and then investigate a concept before working on it."

"I hope that the viewer feels and sees the echo of earth's timeline, a sense of ancient space, peace, wonder, expansion, and connection to Nature. Ultimately a part of something."

What funny moments, unexpected surprises, or obstacles have you encountered?
"When working on “The Last Golden Coast,“ my friend and I went to the Trona Pinnacles in the desert to spend a day doing photography. We hadn’t realized it would be close to 120 degrees and seriously windy. It was the most intense 2-3 hours and we ended up hunkering in the shade for part of it. It takes 30 minutes to get there on this gravel off road, and you can only drive there on it at 5 mph. We had the place to ourselves. Obviously!"
