In designing this chair I took cues from both Japanese sashimono and English windsor chairs, seeking a outwardly simple aesthetic which gives way to more elaborate detail upon a closer look. In building this chair I utilized joinery unique to Japanese timber carpentry and traditional chair making.
This chair can be used outdoors in a covered outdoor space, it should be protected from direct sunlight and exposure directly to the elements. It can also be used indoors. If you are interested in using this indoors please make note of that and I will supply feet intended for indoor use.
