Wood veneer pendant fixture for bar, counter, or above dining tables. These ceiling pendant fixtures are unique and handmade with a wood veneer that allows a translucent glow (beech veneer). Hardwired and plug-in (swag) kits available. Also available in "Original" and "Tall" as well as light (beech veneer) and dark (sapele veneer). Hardwired Tapio pendants come with a matte black canopy, 5 feet of cloth covered cord, and a 60 watt LED bulb.

I design and fabricate furniture and lighting using a variety of quality materials in unconventional ways. The results are one of a kind products that add character and utility to your home. I make minimal, modern craft.

Hans Gottsacker started Tapio with a comprehensive line of lighting and furniture on the rugged shores of Lake Superior in Marquette, Michigan in 2018. He holds a BFA in Woodworking and Furniture Design from Northern Michigan University and an MFA in Woodworking from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. His designs are inspired by a 6 month arts fellowship spent in northern Finland as well as various travels and research throughout Scandinavia. Hans continues to develop new designs and further add to the Tapio catalogue with an informed design sense and a playful creative flair.
