Shoreline Relief began with a quiet observation of natural stone along a lakeshore.
Over time, layered slate formations develop soft fractures and curved breaks shaped by water, pressure and erosion. These subtle lines became the starting point for the composition.
The relief is constructed through a sequence of sculpted planes that flow across the surface like geological layers exposed along a shoreline. Their gentle curves create a calm rhythm that shifts with light, allowing shadows to slowly move across the textured surface throughout the day.
The mineral texture is created using plaster and fine quartz sand, producing a tactile surface that softly diffuses light. The color sits within a restrained spectrum of warm nude, pale peach and soft beige tones, making the piece easy to integrate into calm contemporary interiors.
Framed in a natural oak float frame, the warmth of wood balances the mineral character of the relief and anchors the composition within architectural space.
Rather than dominating a room, Shoreline Relief is designed to quietly transform the atmosphere of a wall through texture, light and subtle geometry.
