I love my mind for its ability to creatively problem solve and notice small details, but these same proclivities also lead to thought rumination and overthinking. Losing the forest forest for the trees, if you will. During moments like that I often picture myself physically zooming out of that situation to get a wider shot of where I’m at in my existence. This allows me to better understand if my fixation is really that important to my bigger picture.

48x48” Acrylic and oil pastel on canvas.

I make art that celebrates finding joy in the ordinary.

Originally from Kansas City, I grew up in a loud and passionate family that taught me self-expression as a basic instinct and necessity to get a word in at the dinner table. Fiery, honest and emotional since the womb, I’ve never known another way of being. I've been creating professionally for 4 years from my home studio in Tulsa, Oklahoma where I live with my husband, Jeremy, our daughter, Layla, and two rescue cats, Baker and Pablo.
