When I looked at the finished piece I saw elements of Picasso’s cubism - so I called it Pablo.
My new work in plaster is based on my recent travels to ancient sites in Greece and Italy. The elegance, flow and surface smoothness of marble sculptures inspired me to create abstract work with similar qualities using layers of sculpted paper covered with marble plaster. Installed on Walnut wood stand.
Please note: The color or the plaster piece is off-white, but depending on the lighting it develops a beautiful warm glow and shadows, that change with light throughout the day.
