This original piece is from a series titled "Page-turner," collage using layers of pages from vintage newspapers and books including an obscured headline in Japanese from a Godzilla movie poster. Saturated blues with cold wax on beefy 2" stretched canvas. The piece is gallery wrapped with the art continuing on all 4 sides, so no need for framing. Signed and dated on the back. Multiple coats of matte varnish protect and seal the piece. The back has two D-rings installed with heavy duty plastic-coated wire–ready to hang and start a conversation in any space.

Bold layered paintings built from found paper and paint. Los Angeles

I make layered collage paintings, that create visual histories. My current mixed media work is rugged and blends areas of design with those of absolute chaos, wielding newspaper, paint, markers and spray paint. The editing process is about layering–adding and covering back up. My practice dances around with abstraction and figuration. I use exaggerated lines and color, developing art that is bold, physical and has an overall element of fun.
