An abstract sunset is likely the picture your brain first made sense of, but I prefer interpreting the composition as the glow of a fire in a high up cave. Rudimentary shelter from the elements becomes home when the right person occupies it.
These pieces are made using scraps of old paintings and materials I save. They’re pure play and experimentation for me- two of my biggest inspirations. I could tinker with them for hours, just like making doll clothes when I was little.
Among the brushstrokes and textures, there’s a quiet conversation between color and space, inviting stillness into your living space. I leave the canvas loose to display on magnetic poster hangers to encourage you to get up close and explore all facets of the experience. Art with themes of mindfulness and wellbeing can turn everyday moments into meditative reflections.
