This piece emits strength and confidence in its upright composition and complementary color pallet. At first glance it reads like a flag proudly announcing presence. Like many figures of strength, further inspection reveals conversations swirling beneath the surface. Confidence doesn’t happen on accident- it’s earned when growth is consistently chosen over fear.
These pieces are made using scraps of old paintings and materials I save. They’re pure play and experimentation for me- two of my biggest inspirations. I could tinker with them for hours, just like making doll clothes when I was little.
Among the brushstrokes and textures, there’s a quiet conversation between color and space, inviting stillness into your living space. I leave the canvas loose to display on magnetic poster hangers to encourage you to get up close and explore all facets of the experience.
