This wallpaper was directly inspired by the jelly-like man-o-wars that I found washed up on my two favorite South Beaches—Martha’s Vineyard and Miami. I began with a watercolor on heavyweight paper, and finished the designs digitally in procreate to render a repeat pattern that could be transferred to a wallpaper design.
Man-O-Wars are a type of siphonophore—creatures that exist as a colony, with various members responsible for distinct tasks. In other words, they live in the ultimate communities, where the whole would be impossible without each individual, making the man-o-war the ultimate symbol of collaboration and community. To me they represent the greater heights we achieve when we work together.
They also capture the essence of the jellyfish. As the celebrated Shaman Alyson Charles describes in her book Animal Power, the jelly symbolizes going with the flow, is linked to the heart, light transmissions, and connections.
In Feng Shui this wallpaper would be considered a powerful water element which is really beneficial in certain areas of your home. The purple colors are connected to royalty, abundance, and success.

When installed, the seams between the panels of grasscloth will be visible. Variations in color between batches may occur due to the manufacturing process. This paper is not suitable for high moisture areas such as bathrooms with showers or bathtubs.
Care Instructions: Natural wallcoverings are very low maintenance. They may be lightly brushed with a soft surface feather duster to remove dust. Never use cleaning agents to remove a stain. If necessary, only use the foam from a gentle household dishwashing liquid and rub softly with a soft white cloth.
