TRIPOD Black Coffee Table by Donatas Zukauskas
A sculptural bio cement coffee table built on three legs — elemental, almost prehistoric in silhouette, and deliberately rough at the surface. The TRIPOD coffee table combines refined proportions with a tactile, raw finish: the contrast between the two is central to its character. Equally at home as a coffee table, a low side table, or a sculptural accent in a contemporary interior.
The material is developed through years of personal experimentation: recycled paper pulp and cardboard — the second life of wood — combined with organic cement, binders, and paint to produce a composite that looks like cast stone but behaves differently. It is lighter than real concrete, slightly elastic rather than brittle, and sealed for long-term indoor durability. Donatas calls it the third life of wood: a material given entirely new properties through process.
The textured surface is intentionally irregular — subtle variations and marks are part of the material's natural expression. The TRIPOD does not conceal its making. Imperfection as a way to create beauty.
Each piece is handmade and unique — minor variations in texture and form are intentional and part of the design. Made-to-order. Custom dimensions available on request. Trade pricing available. Ships internationally. Lead time 4–8 weeks.
Designed, crafted and built by Donatas Zukauskas — a Lithuanian sculptor and designer whose furniture sits at the intersection of brutalist materiality and quiet, considered form.
