TOKI Bench by Donatas Zukauskas
A sculptural bench with clean totemic proportions and a material contrast that is both quiet and deliberate: a solid oak seat resting on a dense stone-look composite base. The TOKI bench is designed for interiors where furniture must feel stable, honest, and materially present — where an object earns its place not through decoration but through form and weight.
Construction begins with a reinforced internal structure engineered to carry substantial weight — structural performance is the foundation, not an afterthought. Only once that integrity is established does the sculptural form develop around it. The result is an object that feels as solid as it looks: the composite base, dense and stone-like, paired with a solid oak surface finished with food-safe oils for warmth and long-term durability.
Surface irregularities in the base are preserved intentionally — the stone-like composite carries the marks of its making as part of its character. Imperfection as a way to create beauty.
