RAWLINE Tall Vase by Donatas Zukauskas
A tall sculptural floor vase with an elongated form and a mottled natural beige surface that carries the quiet complexity of weathered limestone or aged stone. At nearly a metre tall, RAWLINE has the presence of a sculptural column — vertical, considered, and entirely hand-built. Its subtle twist and textured skin make it one of the most quietly compelling vessels in the collection.
The composite is built up by hand, layer by layer, with each application responding differently to drying conditions, pressure, and the natural behaviour of the material. The ratio of recycled paper pulp, organic cement, and mineral binder was refined through extensive testing — the goal being a surface that is simultaneously water-resistant, impact-resistant, and alive with geological texture. No two results are ever identical.
Rather than concealing natural variation, this design embraces it. Cracks, surface shifts, and unpredictable texture are not flaws — they are the point. Imperfection as a way to create beauty.
