This practice is a testament to Kim's philosophy that beauty and peace often emerge when control is let go and uncertainty is embraced, leading to a sense of liberation as she creates.

Each year, she spends time in different parts of the world exploring on foot. These experiences inspire new perspectives and guide her work. Taking cues from nature, some works are more clearly depictions of a place, while others might refer to a sensation or emotion she felt in a certain moment.
