K’era is a Los Angeles-based mixed media artist who continues to explore the art of abstraction in the form of collage and painting, oftentimes bringing the two together to create her delicately layered and dynamic pieces. She graduated from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago with a BFA in textile design. Her artwork has been featured in a variety of group exhibitions within the U.S and can be found in private residences of collectors across the globe. She regularly collaborates with designers as well as brands delivering commissioned artworks like murals as well as bespoke collections relying on her textile design background.
How do your pieces come to life? Tell us one interesting thing about your creative process?
"My process is unique in the fact that I don't work from sketches or studies. I generally never have a plan of a final piece and allow my intuition to guide me each time I enter my studio to work."
