Built from genuine reclaimed barnwood 46"L x 17"D x18"HJapanese Yakisugi (shou sugi ban) charring process — double burned by hand with a torch, flap sanded to reveal the grain, and finished with a penetrating plant-based oil that hardens in place without sitting on the surface. No paint. No stain. The char and the grain are the finish. "The top is a single plank — no glue lines, no edge joints — cut from one piece of century-old barnwood."
This 46" x 17" x 18" coffee table is built entirely without nails or metal fasteners. The lower shelf and leg panels are locked together with hand-cut through-tenons and wooden wedges — the same joinery used across the Paul's Green Barn Yakisugi collection. Four decorative square peg details are CNC-routed into the top surface, a signature detail of this line. *** "Disassembles completely for flat shipping — wedges remove by tapping them lose with a block of wood and a mallet.. The barnwood used in this piece came from a dismantled Western New York barn — aged over a century before it ever entered the shop. The character marks, checks, and saw marks in the surface are original to the material, not added for effect.
