Sustainable art installations created in Europe
Mosstika is a creative studio that was founded by the artist Edina Tokodi. The installation works created by Mosstika dissolve the barriers between public and private space, organic and inorganic elements of the urban landscape, and between nature and art. These works incorporate plant life and other materials found in the local natural environment with photos or graphic elements. The purpose of these works is to advocate sustainable living and draw attention to the lack of nature in our daily lives.
By transferring public sculptural installations from street to gallery settings, Mosstika highlights the idea that fine art should not be limited by white-box confines, and instead, we should embrace a new art-viewing environment. This also underscores the idea that "street art" need not be limited to outdoor space or temporary relevance.
