The Hashi is a white marble coffee table, a low, round table chosen as much for the history of its stone as for its colour. Its presence is architectural rather than decorative, the marble left to lead while the base beneath it works quietly.
Arabescato Vagli is a refined white marble from the Vagli basin in the Apuan Alps, above Carrara. Sweeping grey veins move across its white-to-cream ground in the flowing, arabesque lines that give the stone its name, dramatic without ever tipping into the theatrical. Every top is cut from its own block, and no two of these white marble coffee tables are ever quite alike.
The base is the quieter feat. Two slabs of the same marble are notched and set at right angles, one passing through the other, so the coffee table carries itself with no brackets and no visible fixing. What holds the piece up is exactly what draws the eye, an interlocking cross-leg join left plain as the only ornament the design permits.
As a white marble coffee table it settles a space rather than crowding it, at home in a living room. Like every Lebanto piece, the Hashi is made to order in Cantù, in the historic heart of Lombardy's furniture district, from a curated palette of full-slab stone, solid timber, and premium Italian glass.
