Start-up EV manufacturer Rivian Automotive commissioned this feature installation for the 40-foot lobby atrium of their new Southern California office building. The undulating form was inspired by the dramatic meeting of the Pacific Ocean and the rugged California coastline. Over 3,000 feet of hand-dyed organic cotton rope is suspended from lengths of shimmering silver chain to create a moment of impact that floats within this semicircular space.
