Hand woven in Turkey originating between 1950-1960, this vintage mid-century wool kilim rug enjoys a meticulous play of embroidery and flat weaving, uncommon and distinguishing of a select line from our recent additions to our collections. This piece’s exceptionally meticulous attention to texture in the close knotting of the classic diamond geometric pattern marries a very appealing traditional design with a fabulously rare dimensionality, easy to enjoy with engaging movement. The balance of transitional colorway in the pallet of red, blue, green, off-white, yellow and black beautifully complements that same movement through the shifted graph; a less common departure from traditional symmetry for a more intriguing lure.
