Hand knotted in wool originating from Turkey circa 1950-1960, a vintage 5x12 Konya rug joining Rug & Kilim’s coveted Antique & Vintage Collection. The rug emanates the tribal instincts this regional Turkish style is known for through an engaging geometric design that envelopes a gorgeous medallion pattern in shades of pink, beige-brown and blue against a rich red canvas—all exemplifying gravity, gracious scale and meticulous geometric-floral styles. A healthy rug with only slight color run and a fabulous, subtle European influence to the nomadic design, well suited for gallery spaces and wide hallways.
