This intense sky landscape shows the storm clouds starting to part and give way to blue skies, and brighter days ahead. I used a sponge technique with, reds, oranges, golds, black and metallic accents to create this affect. i have always been fascinated with storm clouds. 36x48x2

Bold, textured, abstract acrylic and mixed media artwork.

I am a self taught artist that was born and raised in northern Illinois. I currently reside in Arlington, Texas. I have been drawing and painting since I was a child, but spent the majority of my youth, showing and breeding Arabian horses. This led me to truly appreciate the beauty of animals and the nature that surrounds them. I started creating artwork as a business over 10 years ago now.
I use a variety of mediums including molding paste, gesso, oil, metallic, and acrylic paints on stretched canvas.
I create an expressionistic style by using brushes, sponges, spray techniques, and my hands.
My vision is to create each piece with a vibrant boldness and a heart of its own.
Abstract and mixed media are my main styles.
Thus leading to my motto, " Art makes the world a more beautiful place for those who choose to observe it" Liz Johnston.
