Inspired by waterfalls and water- whether in the mountains or the islands. I love the thrill of the thick paint flowing while creating- and feel as if I am going within a waterfall flow or dreaming within a beautiful stream of water. Beautiful greens, teals, greys and accent colors. This is a diptych (2 paintings, (30"x 40" each canvas). Can be hung separately or together. The size, if the two coordinated canvasses hung together vertically, is a total dimension of 40"High x 60"Wide. The painted sides on the gallery wrapped paintings require no framing and ready to hang to enjoy.

“My goal for creating art and also for my work in the corporate, healthcare and hospitality settings is to lift up and bring an artful, meaningful experience into daily life."

Twyla Gettert is the recipient of numerous awards for her paintings including a grant from the E.D. Foundation, NYC, NY. A graduate of the University of Iowa, she has been a full-time artist for over twenty-five years. Twyla’s paintings and photography are collected by both private and corporate art enthusiasts and have been purchased by over 65 corporations. Her work has been shown in museum exhibitions and also in a network of galleries throughout the U.S. Her art was selected for two international Sumi-E shows at the Osaka,Japan; National Museum of Fine Art. She creates in a number of mediums including Painting, Printmaking, Photography, manipulated Digital Radiography, Chinese Brush Painting, and Japanese Sumi-E. Ms. Gettert’s experience includes completing art-site specific projects with designers and architects. She has completed large-scale commissioned works on numerous healthcare and hospitality projects. She has a solo exhibition "Where Ocean Meets Sky" at the St. Thomas University Favarola Museum, Miami, FL. www.TwylaArt.com
