A collaboration between Mercedes Benz and two Michelin stars chef Bart De Pooter, WY Brasserie is located in Brussels Grand Sablon inside the luxury sport cars showroom. Matilde Alessandra produced three light installations developed around the concept of speed and the iconic Mercedes star logo, and custom made, hand-blown glass hanging lights.

Born in Italy, Matilde Alessandra studied Theater Design at the Academy of Fine Arts in Venice.
Working with light for 20 years she has been building a reputation for her dazzling sculptures and installations, and a singular use of fluorescent tubes. Her distinctive trait, essential and immediate, permeates in all her production, spanning from sculpture, industrial design and site-specific installations. She's also known for her intricate drawings, where the subject of light remains very much central to the work. Lives and works in New York.
