Contemporary, uplifting oil paintings using a faux-collage technique

Lauren Matsumoto is a painter exploring how we relate to nature. Her practice is known for her use of a hybrid form of painting and collage in which birds are the protagonists. She experiments with a technique called faux-collage in large oil paintings that are inspired by her collages on paper.
