The Metro Desk was designed as a dedicated single-user workstation—not a dining table. Its proportions, welded steel frame, and clean architectural lines create a purposeful workspace for designers, photographers, artists, writers, and anyone who appreciates functional modern design. Each piece is individually fabricated and finished by hand.

Original furniture designed and built one piece at a time.

Steve Gunn is an independent furniture designer, metal fabricator, and woodworker based at his property w/ the workshop outside Austin, Texas. He designs and builds original furniture that combines architectural steel with hardwoods, softwoods, granite, slate, stone, and glass. Every piece is personally cut, fabricated, MIG welded, assembled, and finished by Steve from start to finish.

Over the past several years, Steve has built and sold more than 1,200 custom tables for homeowners, businesses, and government agencies—including the U.S. Department of Justice—with work delivered throughout Texas and across the United States usually via UShip del. service.

Steve is also a p/t professional photographer that shoots editorial and fine art work for Easyriders and automotive publications. In addition to furniture, he creates abstract paintings.
