Story: Michelle and Brian are family to me. We met through the Burning Man community. When they asked Ania and me to create a piece for their home, I already knew what it needed to be. Their daughter has a congenital syndrome. Watching this family — the way they move through that, together, with so much love and determination — I kept thinking about what connects us. About the thread that runs through all of us, passed down, transformed, carried forward. DNA was the first thing that came to mind. Ania built the custom metal frame and wired in lights because they are burners, of course they wanted lights.
