I painted this one during #Inktober 2025. If you're not familiar, it's when you get a new drawing prompt each day in October, and are supposed to do an ink illustration based on that prompt. I don't do ink, but I participate anyways!There's no specific deer behind this one, unlike some of my other animal paintings. No backstory, no drama! (The only actual drama here was discovering that I had to rework the painting somewhat for printing: the dark colours in the original verison didn't translate well to the page, so I pivoted to a little brighter green background with foliage.)My favourite part of this one is the little whiskers and tufts of hair on his chin and below his ears!This piece was painted live during our weekly live streams!
