In color psychology, blue is always associated with trustworthiness, calmness and serenity. Blue is on the cool spectrum of colors and is said to lower the heart rate. All very positive, however also a little dull. So my intention with this piece, as a lover of the color blue, was to show it in a new dramatic light. So I used different shades of blue to contrast and compliment each other to do a passionate exhilarating dance. This large blue abstract work is 36" x 48" in size. It is painted in acrylic on gallery-wrapped canvas which is then float framed in a slim black wood frame.
Alternative versions of this work, are available as a metal & acrylic print, or as a framed print on fine art canvas board. This is mounted in a flat black contemporary style frame made of composite wood. See more details under variants.
