The Colgada Console is a sculptural stainless steel and marble console table by Nitush Aroosh, part of the Colgado Collection. Taking its name from the Spanish word for "suspended," the piece presents a marble plane that appears to float above sculpted steel bases — metal folded and impressed with the marks of force, holding a tension between gravity and release.
Each base is shaped through hydroforming and then compressed and folded by hand. The resulting surfaces retain the visible record of that process — folds and impressions making the making legible in the finished work.
The marble plane above is serene and resolved; the steel bases below are marked, restless, and full of implied energy. The Colgada Console holds both conditions simultaneously — a composition that deepens with sustained attention.
