Frayed jute
The Flecos series is based on the use of jute burlap fabric and the different possibilities it offers in the multiple frays. This action results in falls, fringes, loose threads that transform the structure of the fabric into more compressed parts and others absent. It is a reverse creation process. It is to manually undo thread by thread the manufactured fabric.
This work with its burnt sienna color transmits the calm of the end of the day, when the sun sets and generates that calming orange color. It evokes life, recollection and relaxation and invites the viewer to receive all this energy.
