UNFRAMED.
The graceful arcs of this botanical painting call to mind Chinese ink brush paintings or Japanese textiles. The silhouette is that of a money tree, a plant traditionally believed to bring good luck. The leaves are painted in a warm pale cream color rather than a cool white and the sky is a saffron yellow. This would become more apparent if put in a white frame or hung on a white wall. Next to a dark color, the leaves appear pure white.

This painting is the same size and colors as "Yellow Leaves" (40 x 30") but the colors are inverted. In Yellow Leaves, the plant is dark and the background pale, while in this painting, the plant is pale while the background is dark. They would look nice hung side by side as a diptych or in the same room. the pair are like a negative and a positive of the same image.
The 1.5” deep sides of the gallery-wrapped canvas are a clean white.
