Tatiana May~Kallergi is a self taught fiber artist, based in Athens, Greece. Traditional techniques are reviewed in a contemporary context. As such, her work sits in the space between art and craftsmanship. With its roots in ecology and sustainability, her work initiates conversations on the environmental and social fragility of our times.
She has used range of fiber based materials- her more recent work is composed exclusively from discarded fabric, off-cuts or dead stock textiles. Her large scale embroidery pieces are produced in editions of 5. Commission are open for custom pieces and homeware.
