The Tronco Stump Tables are a set of sculptural stainless steel accent tables by Nitush Aroosh, part of the Tronco Collection (2023–2025). Each low, rounded form takes the organic silhouette of a tree stump, finished in a matt steel that gives the group a grounded, earthy quality quite distinct from the polished works in the collection.
Every piece is produced through hydroforming — stainless steel expanded under high water pressure into a hollow, lightweight form — then hand-hammered to generate the undulating surface texture. No two pieces resolve identically.
Arranged together, the tables produce a composition that feels organic and unhurried, each catching light at slightly different angles — a study in how a matt steel surface registers subtle variations in illumination.
Hollow in structure and roughly 30% lighter than cast equivalents, each table functions equally well indoors and outdoors, with Grade 304 stainless steel providing long-term rust resistance.
