Static Light, vertical - Pendants

Price from $2,500 to $5,000

Static Light is a series of suspended light-based sculptures that represent a single electromagnetic wave. The first piece I created combined a LED tube shaped into an undulating wave with a brass rod hung horizontally. In the proceeding artworks I replaced the brass rod with brass beading in order to achieve a freer form. The beading allows for the flexible tube to be adjusted to create different configurations. In this series I am exploring different lengths of light and points or axis of curve where the beading meets the light to create unique fluid waves of light contrasted with the points in the brass ball chain. This piece is made with 55” LED natural white (4000K) tube with 70” brass bead chain connected to a 30W power supply.
