The Hakata is a smoked oak dining table, a solid piece that brings the warmth of timber to the range. It brings warmth and touch where the stone and glass are cool and hard.
The oak is solid European timber, smoked to a deep, near-black brown with its grain still legible beneath the darker finish. It is the more architectural of the two oak finishes, grounded and quiet.
The construction is left in plain sight. Two solid oak boards interlock at right angles, one passing through the other into a self-supporting cross-leg base, the joinery treated as the only ornament the piece needs.
As a smoked oak dining table it settles a space rather than crowding it, at home at the centre of a dining space. Like every Lebanto piece, the Hakata is made to order in Cantù, in the historic heart of Lombardy's furniture district, from a curated palette of full-slab stone, solid timber, and premium Italian glass.
