Sense of Place an exhibition of abstract paintings inspired by the characteristic contours, textures and colours of the landscape that occur in Nature’s cycle of growth and change . Imaginings of tree canopies reaching up to an immense sky whilst aerial roots melt into the undergrowth, twisted trunks turn and weave along the pathways and blooms cluster and disperse – a special theater of Nature’s gardens from which life emerges and then disappears.

A dance with life

Born in Melbourne, Wendy Grace is an Australian Abstract artist who paints on canvas, paper and glass. Inspired by the world around her and the history of the Abstract Expressionists Wendy's unique paintings explore pattern, color and composition that activate the senses and open visual pathways to the imagination. Her creative process is often intuitive and spontaneous adopting an experimental approach to her work that enables her to reflect a diverse range of compositions and styles.

Her work is featured in regular solo and group exhibitions locally and nationally. Most recently her work was displayed at St Francis Art in Melbourne.

Wendy has been practicing as a professional artist since 2007 after graduating from RMIT University with an Honours degree in Painting.
