Wave Mandal Series of wall hanging wood cut sculptures. Each represents a specific aspect of the ocean: the tides, currents, storms, animals, waves.
Each is a unique design that is cut by hand with a jig saw. After the design is cut out, I carve and sand the details with hand grinders, power carvers, and by hand. Mirror glass is custom cut for each piece and mounted in the back. It is finished with a special hand rubbed polyurethane. Clean the wood with a beeswax/orange oil wood cleaner. The glass is best cleaned with rubbing alcohol and a microfiber cloth.
