Its design is defined by a heavy, circular top supported by four sturdy legs that have been carved from solid hardwood to create a rugged surface with tool marks. The vertical scale of the piece lends it a totemic quality, making it a perfect sculptural accent for interiors that celebrate bold geometry.
The wood is treated with a deep, dark red tone stain that unifies the complex surfaces while allowing the authentic, weathered texture of the grain to remain visible. The top surface showcases the natural end-grain with distinct growth rings and organic checking. A defining characteristic is the industrial metal stitch or staple used to bind a deep natural crack near the top, which is a bold design choice that celebrates the philosophy of visible mending and honest material history.
