Inspired by an 18th century Spanish pattern, this modern wool and silk rug features a Catana design, characterized an uncommon combination of large scale repetition and unique border. Hand knotted in high-quality wool and naturally shining silk, the green desert floral Catana emblem repeats in four distinct rows against the deeper beige background, both colourways playing into an immersive reference to the desert. Unique to this design, also, is the presence of a wrapping border intercepting one side of the vertical motifs for a dimensional, entirely individual modern portrait, a seldom-seen feature emboldening the finesse of this area piece.

In 1989, Rug & Kilim celebrated a major milestone with the opening of its second store in Morristown, New Jersey. The business quickly established itself as a national source for the finest Oriental rugs, offering a wide-ranging collection from Persia, Tibet, India, Pakistan, Russia, and China. Known for its expertise, curated selection, and exceptional customer service, Rug & Kilim became synonymous with quality, integrity, and a deep understanding of color and design.
