Playing with figure-ground optics, Rough Around The Edges is a bold statement piece using only cobalt blue & ivory. This hard-edge abstract’s ivory form has texture in the paint and a few points of translucency around the edge for visual interest. Rough Around The Edges is part of my Stasis painting series. It pairs well with Huzzah! and Ineffability.
In my “Stasis” painting series, I translate memory into, hard-edged paintings with dramatic curves and angles. These simple yet complex Minimalism works offer a pathway into my experiences — layers of recollection elegantly embodied through curvilinear sculptures that celebrate form through their refinement and sophisticated use of color. Each has my signature golden heart on the bottom side of the canvas, as a talisman of the most powerful force, LOVE.
This painting has been varnished with a smooth matte finish, perfect for a contemporary look and protection from UV rays and dust!
