‘Rocks’ a diptych is from my ‘Quartz series’. It looks like the middle part of a of a rocky range. Spreading on two canvases of 90cm x 100cm each, acrylic on canvas, is a piece which has enough of interest to keep anyone glued to it and enjoy its natural elements in abstraction. It has been created in keeping a pure abstract style in mind. The result was achieved by effectively visualising and then creating large and small layers of rocks with the help of different colours, hues and textures. Working with a tiny spotting brush has illusioned the limits of size into an enormous one and it did help me in achieving an extra degree of complexity and texture - in effect it’s an ‘Abstract Realistic’ style which has given a unique look to this work. The canyon-like look of the rocks has a beauty in its ruggedness.
The final coat of varnish has been given to protect it from the UV rays and keep its vibrancy intact for a long time.
