I envisioned my Prayer Quilt series to be a meditation guide and a calming companion in your sacred space. Combining my hand painted fabrics with stitching and semi-precious stones on canvas, I always strive to achieve a relaxing color harmony with the use of tonal variations.
‘Rise’ is a tribute to the desert scape which like each of us, can be calming or formidable. I invite you to enjoy the turquoise which is said to help one connect with the earth while relieving stress and anxiety. Also incorporated are 3 gold plated crystals and an African Opal stone. The stones are tied to the canvas with waxed linen.
I hope this piece relaxes you and lifts you towards your highest self.
This piece is best hung out of direct sunlight as there are natural dyes in some of the fabric pieces.
This piece is a 12” x 12” canvas framed in a maple finished solid hardwood floater frame. Framed dimensions are 13 x 13 x 1.25 deep.
Hanging hardware is attached and a certificate of authenticity is included.
