I work now exclusively with recycled metals. I like the way that painting on metals adds a creative, and unique, element to my art, one that you can't find with canvas or wood. I find my metals at scrape yards, recycling yards, and surplus suppliers. The creative process begins when I torch-cut steel into the shapes that I want and then mount them on custom built wood frames. I really like the look that the large bolts, washers and unique pieces of metal add to my work. My painting process is simply layer upon layer of acrylics until I feel I have achieved the look and texture I am looking for. Bringing together all of these different, and diverse elements, I like to think that I am making each of my paintings a true one-of-a-kind work of art.”

I am a Mixed Media Artist. I have worked and sold art for over 5 decades. In 2005 I started to paint on different types of metal. I love the way that painting on metals adds a creative, unique, element to my art, one that you can't find with wood or canvas.
One of the greatest finds for me was the acetylene torch-cuter, which I received one Christmas from my family. With it I can make all kinds of creative shapes and designs. Once the design is cut and completed I personalize each piece with large bolts, washers and unique pieces of metal. The painting process begins by adding layers of textures and acrylics until I feel I have achieved the look I am looking for.
Mixed media art is a great blessing for me as an artist. It has allowed me to add different elements in different ways to make endless creative, one-of-a-kind, works of art.
My parents saw a need to get me started at an early age taking painting classes. When I graduated from High School I received the first Art Scholarship that my school ever gave. From that time on I have never stopped taking private painting lessons from well known accomplished and prominent Artist. I think being an artist is a continual study of always discovering new innovative ways to express one's imagination. I am very grateful to call myself creative.
