Titled Summer Breeze, this original ceramic wall sculpture artwork comprises of 50 handcrafted porcelain petals. When I think of blossom, I think of gentle breeze blowing sweet smelling, delicate petals that dance in the air and lightly touch whatever is in their path. That’s the feeling these ceramic wall art pieces will create in your interior; pretty and ethereal, gentle and soft.
Each petal was formed by hand from beautiful high-fired porcelain finished in muted pink tones with a touch of copper, gold and dark chocolate brown. The simple, minimal forms bring an elegant, romantic feel to a space and they can be arranged in a variety of ways to suit even tricky rooms. Because each one is made by hand in my UK studio, each piece is unique.
Each piece measures approx 5-6cm (approx 2.3 inches) and they stand approx 1 - 3 cm (around 1 inch) from the wall. Arranged as pictured in the first two images, this set takes up a space approximately 230cm wide (approx 90 inches) and 76cm high (30 inches). Of course, they could be stretched wider, turned on their side to be tall and narrow, or condensed to a more square, spiral or circular arrangement.
It's really easy and fun to arrange the wall art. If you are unsure of how to position them, why not use our full size template service! You can add a standard black and white paper template so that they are arranged as they are in the first two images using the drop down option, or get in touch for a custom option.
We can take a look at your space, put together a recommendation about how to arrange the pieces and create a full size installation template for you for a small charge.
If you'd like to arrange them yourself, then I recommend cutting pieces of paper to the same sizes as the petals and using poster putty to arrange them before installing the work permanently. This lets you play around with the arrangement, and take a step back to make sure you get them in positions you are happy with before you add your hardware.
Each wall petal sculpture can be easily hung on one small flat headed nail or screw in your wall.
Every one is made by hand here in the studio, and they are sculpted individually, so no two are identical.
If you would prefer this sculpture to be finished in different colours or quantities, get in touch - we can make a custom sized set for you in a huge choice of colours to suit your interior.
